Join us with your children every month!
Our free meetings are held monthly and cover one of a series of four topics. La Leche League meetings provide a time for mother-to-mother support in a friendly, accepting atmosphere, and they include expectant, new, and experienced mothers. A variety of planned discussion topics are covered, but Leaders encourage women to bring up any question or problem during the meeting or during informal, social time following the meeting. Babies and children are always welcome at our meetings.
We currently meet on the third Thursday of each month at 2:00 PM. Look to our Facebook page (La Leche League of Jacksonville, nc) or call us at (910) 378-9877 for updates on meeting location and time. La Leche League is a non-sectarian organization and we thank the church for generously allowing us to use their facilities. Attending La Leche League Meetings can help you learn about breastfeeding from other nursing mothers. At these monthly meetings, mothers share not only their questions and concerns but also the benefits and joys of breastfeeding. Knowing other women who have breastfed their babies can be helpful and reassuring. It is also important to have accurate, up-to-date information.
Discussion topics include:
-The decision to breastfeed
-Birth and the first few weeks of baby's life
-The normal course of breastfeeding
-Introducing solids and the weaning process
Babies and children are always welcome.

Check out our library! One of the great benefits of our local group is our library. We have an extensive catalog of breastfeeding friendly materials. You can check out a book/magazine and return it the next month. The library is easy to use and maintained by one of our members. |
